Changing my wife's car - how does this sound?

Bought my wife a Xsara Picasso Desire 2.0l Diesel in 2006 - 05 plate with 500 miles - now done 41k and next May will be eight years old which you indicate might be when problems start. Apart from Citroen main dealer servicing & tyres only replacement part has been rear shock absorber.

My wife likes the high seating position & space so what should I replace it with please? Can spend £5k-£7k plus part ex which your valuation site gives as about £2k.

Liked look of Zafira but your comments are not very encouraging & does not appear very cheap to run. We do not have to have a diesel.
