Can I reduce noise by adding sound deadening?

The noise level in the cabin of my Mazda 3 is excessive,I think it is caused by the tyres as fitted by the Manufacturer. Would the fitting of suitable sound deadening material in appropriate places noticeably reduce that noise level. What sort of noise level reduction could be achieved? Do you know of a dependable firm in the Greater Manchester area who specialize in sound deadening in cars?

No. Don't do this. Could cause all sorts of problems, including rust. Switch to better tyres, such as Michelin Energy Saver + or Michelin Primacy 3 (depending on size).
