New or old i30?

I've just done a test drive on a brand new Hyundai i30 1.4 petrol and it was extremely good. However, considering my budget is about £10,000 (with finance) I'd have to wait a while to get one in the new model for that price. Hence I wanted to ask whether it was worth simply getting an 2007 model i30 or switching to a new car altogether e.g. Fiesta. What is the difference between the new i30 and the older model? I'm simply looking for that sort of size a car with good fuel economy (but avoiding diesel as do too much short distance driving).

Late old shape i30s were going for your kind of money new earlier in the year. See if www.motorpoint.co.uk have any left. The new car is much better. Much more refined.
