Buying a 12 plate Espace - but when was it made?

I wish to replace our 2005 Grand Espace and have seen an Espace 2.0 dCi 150 Dynamique Tom Tom 5 door registered March 2012 offered at £16,000 from a main Renault dealer. I have also read that Espace production ceased in 2011, so how can I check how old the car really is, and what is a reasonable sale price?

Yes, production ended in 2011 and it was announced that sales had ended in late January 2012, so your car has to be 2011 at the newest. The chain cam 2.0dCi 150 lacks torque in the Scenic and X-Trail, so might be quite sluggish in the bigger Espace. But you obviously know the model quite well.
