Which BMW?

I shall be buying again in a few months. My no.1 priority is a great drive, then reliability. In addition, I need space for all my golf paraphernalia. I plan to spend between £10k and £15k, and my first choice is a BMW 2.5i Touring manual petrol. Is this a good choice (bearing in mind the scarcity, plus anything else you may highlight)? And what else would you recommend?

I tested this model E91 back in 2005 and in comparison to the 320d did not like it at all. The engine felt like it was putting too much weight on the front wheels. See: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/bmw/bmw-3-series-e.../
