White smoke when starting in the morning

When I start my Mondeo the morning it smokes slightly and it has a misfire, but once I drive about 500 yards the car runs great, no smoke or misfire, then all day it will be ok.

Once you park it up for the night it does the same again.

Well if it is white smoke ( and not black) then this smoke normally burns your eyes and is indication that the fuel injected into the cylinder is not burning correctly.
Causes of this may be.
1.Fuel starvation to the pump causing the pump timing not to operate correctly
2.Low engine compression
3.Water/petrol in the fuel
4.Injectors ( normally need servicing around the 90 to 100k mileage)

If it continues or gets worse then you may be best to have a diagnostic check carried out.
