What do we buy?

Madam replaced her 'Y' Yaris 1.3 CDZ which had everything & a wonderful car, with a 08 Polo 1.4 Match auto with electric sunroof (the manual Yaris was hard for her to open), but the seats set off my back, I have Recaros in my Accord.

She drives a max of 2k a year, so do we buy an inexpensive car like the Kia Picanto (4 speed auto!) or go for the works like a Mini (Drove it, hard ride)?

Toyota IQ we've yet to drive but we like it & a new Yaris coming. I'm inclined to Japanese and Korean: the shocks last, chain driven etc. So any suggestions? Road Tax no major issue as we are blue badge holders.

This is a bit wide. From about £11,000 to well over £20,000. MINIs ride best on 15" wheels with thicker tyres. A Picanto is a thoroughly decent little car. The new Yaris is already here in the form of the Verso S, but is quite expensive.
