Short Scirroco journeys

I am interested in buying a Volkswagen Scirocco 1.4.

However, I have to do a lot of short journeys (half a mile or so). Would this damage the supercharger/turbocharger if many of the journeys were done from cold?

Shouldn't. The good thing about a petrol turbo engine with a water cooled turbo (which this has) is that because the coolant water goes through the hot exhaust manifold it heats up faster.
