Rubbered up the wrong way

I have now had two punctures on my 2007 Renault Grand Scenic and each time required a new tyre as the foam inflator apparently ruins the tyre. I am trying to locate a space-saver spare. Can you help? A few people have viewed my query in your Backroom forum but no luck so far. Various websites have also proved unhelpful. Failing a space saver I will buy a steel full-sized wheel as for most of the time the boot is empty.

An unsecured wheel on the boot floor could easily kill you and everyone in the car in the event of a crash. The answer is RFT3s (3rd generation runflat tyres), coming this winter with an aftermarket tyre pressure monitoring system. Bridgesone has now managed to achieve the ride quality of a conventional tyre in a runflat that can run with no air for up to 80 kilometres and still remain repairable.
