Scrap happy

I’m looking to get new or newish small car for my wife who works part time as community nurse. Also occasionally used as a second family car. Question is whether having 4 doors is safer than 2, to rear passengers in event of accident i.e. emergency exit. We're just about to scrap our 1994M Golf (still going strong), which is a 3 door, and I've always been concerned about rear passengers not having a door. Just wondering if you have any views on this?

Kia Picanto 5dr: from £4,195.

Chevrolet Matiz 5dr: £4,295. Best for town use only.

Suzuki Alto/Nissan Pixo 5dr: £4,795. Okay.

VW Fox 1.2 3dr: £4,795. I don't like them, hut has a VW badge.

Renault Twingo 1.2 3dr: £4,995. Rumours of lack of supply.

FIAT Panda 1.1 Eco 5dr: £4,995. Made in Poland. Same factory as 500 and Ka. Better build quality than Italian FIATs.

Hyundai i10 1.2 Classic 5dr. By far the best buy if you can find one. i10 Comfort at £5,495 also a good bet. i10 1.1ES has the old engine.
