No mileage

I would appreciate your wisdom and advice, as I am a first time buyer. I am interested in a 2003 Toyota Yaris 1.0 T-Spirit with aircon, sunroof and alloys for £3,995. The car has done only 6,900 miles over the last 5-6 years. Could this low mileage over such a long period be problematic and, if so, are there any measures that should be taken on buying the car?

This has probably been an old person's car leading a life of short runs
from cold, so regard the low mileage as a disadvantage rather than an advantage. The seller will probably get £3,995 for it but you need to seriously consider spending that amount of money on a 6-year-old small car.
