  • Review: Anchor charging cable (productReview)
The Anchor cable comes with three types of connectors - USBC, Micro USB (for Android) and iOS (for Apple) - which attach to the cable itself via a Neodymium magnetic connection, which is the same as you get with MacBooks. As with all magnets and especially those of this size - make sure that the ones you’re not using are kept well out of the reach of children.
  • Review: Tile Mate review (productReview)
Priced at £20 direct from Tile’s website, the basic Tile Mate package gets you a single Tile and nothing else, although the only other thing you need to get started is the companion app which is a free download for iOS and Android. Once you’ve got that on your smartphone, link the two via Bluetooth and you can find one with the other; lose whatever your Tile is attached to and you can make it bleep so you can find it by sound, or use the map function to search out its last known location.
  • Review: Tile Sport and Style review (productReview)
The most basic option is a solitary Tile. Buy this and once you’ve downloaded the companion app for iOS or Android, you can pair your phone and your Tile over Bluetooth and in theory never the twain shall be separated. Lose your keys, bag etc and you can use your phone to find it. Lose your phone and your Tile can make your phone bleep back at you.
  • Review: FenSens Smart Wireless Parking Sensor (productReview)
But the button just wouldn't send the notification to our phone, which we needed to click on to open the app. Even updating the app and our iOS software didn't help. FenSens is apparently coming up for a solution to this issue. But, for us t o use the FenSens parking sensor,  we'd have to unlock our password-protected iPhone and open the app (while still behind the wheel of a car).
  • Review: Tile Pro (productReview)
Once you put in the coin battery, which is included in the box, and pair you're phone (Android or iOS) to your Tile using the free Tile app, you're good to go. Beyond the Bluetooth range, the app will automatically show you the last time and place it saw the Pro on a map. Once it's picked it up on Bluetooth, you can 'ring' your Tile from your phone to track it down.
  • Review: JustPark app (productReview)
It took a few hours for the owner of said space to see my messages on the JustPark app, to which he apologised and refunded me my money. It turned out he kept a gate locked across his driveway to stop people parking there without paying. His gate was, therefore, locked when he left for work, meaning we couldn't use a space we'd paid for. Although, as mentioned, we did get refunded.
  • Review: The Road Bike Manual smartphone app (productReview)
It understands that you might be stranded in the middle of nowhere, so it shows you a handy video of how to temporarily fix a buckled wheel using a gate post. As well as the video clip, there’s also information about how long it’ll take, how difficult it is and pictures with step-by-step instructions.
    Review: Anker Roav Viva (productReview)
To get started, you need to install the Roav VIVA app, which is free and available on   Android   or   iOS (iPhone). Once you connect your mobile to the VIVA via Bluetooth for the first time, it will then automatically connect to your phone whenever you start your car with the VIVA plugged into the 12v cigarette lighter.
  • Review: Sphero R2-D2 (productReview)
We tried moving the phone around, using our soundbar and turning the volume up and down but frustratingly nothing worked. We even updated the iOS on our iPhone plus tried an alternative iPad and an Android phone. In the end, we got it to work by downloading the film onto an iPad and watching it through that, but that kind of defeats the object of having a big telly to watch Star Wars on.
  • Review: Foobot air quality monitor (productReview)
Once it's out of the box, you just plug it into a three-pin socket in the room that you want to monitor.  Once it's plugged in you just download the app (available on Android and iOs), sync your Foobot and it'll start to receive the data about the air quality in your home. Unfortunately, the Foobot struggled to connect to the WiFi when we first set it up in the office. There was no issue connecting it at my house, though it did sometimes randomly lose connection.
  • Review: Garmin VIRB 360 (productReview)
When it comes to previewing the camera angle or changing the settings in more detail, we need to use the VIRB smartphone app (compatible with iOS and Android). As with other smartphone apps for action cameras, it's a case of turning on the VIRB 360’s WiFi and connecting to it with our mobile phone.
    Review: Viofo A129 Duo (productReview)
width=298&height=199&mode=max" alt="" data-udi="umb://media/b050a3fd36ad43abad5a60442932c62f" /> Front camera (left), rear camera (right) A smartphone app called Viofo is also available to review videos (available for iOS and Android). Both front and rear cameras record in 1080P at 30fps, which is above average for dash cams. Generally, dual cameras will have the front record in higher quality than the rear - i.e. front: 1440p or 1080p and rear: 720p).
  • Review: Nextbase 622GW dash cam (productReview)
The premium dash cam gets a three-inch, colour touchscreen display that navigates through menus to set-up and adjust the camera. Drivers can use Amazon Alexa voice control, too - which needs linking to a smartphone (iOS or Android) via the MyNextbase Connect app. In theory, we could say - "Alexa, what's the weather today" or "Alexa, save that video".
  • Review: Nextbase 422GW dash cam (productReview)
In terms of apps and extensions, there's the MyNextbase Connect iOS app to edit and share footage, as well as downloading the odd firmware update - which does require a PC or smartphone. A word of warning: The firmware update took quite a while when we tried with our iPhone 8.
  • Review: Overnight Escape for Two at Appleby Castle - Buy A Gift (productReview)
Parking is split into a small gravel area near the castle entrance, which fits four cars and was full upon arrival, and a slightly larger car park set near the entrance gates. The castle also isn't well lit, so carrying our bags up the long driveway in the dark and cold of November wasn't exactly an ideal start to the experience. For those planning to take heavier bags that don't have wheels, rethink that move.
  • Review: Nextbase 522GW dash cam (productReview)
width=500&height=270.4166666666667" alt="" data-udi="umb://media/1c06a2f5c08d4874aee5f632a2084052" /> In terms of apps, there's the MyNextbase Connect iOS app to edit and share footage, which we're told will be available for download on the May 13th 2019 for iPhone users. Android will follow a day or two later. Secondly, MyNextbase Cloud is a new storage system for your video files, this is free but videos are deleted after about 30 days.
