  I have lost all sound from the radio / CD player, this just happened recently. I still have visual display of the radio station or the track being played from the CD, but nothing from the speakers. This is the original (CD 30) vaux system in a 56 reg Astra.

  Can anyone tell me why when I listen to the radio in the car with the engine off, the reception is perfect. However, as soon as I swith the engine on interference kicks in (particularly on the Medium Wave) and the radio becomes virtually unlistenable.

  Both his dealership and the Jaguar one he suggested are around an hour away from where I live so it's not easy for me to get to.   Anyway, in the meantime now the FM radio has started malfunctioning. Sometimes it's fine, other times the radio cuts out completely and won't tune into any stations at all. I've also had another issue with an engine management fault light on the car, which I also reported immediately.

  I went to a reputable retailer and enquired about the problem. I thought I could just buy a booster for the standard VW Gamma radio which came with the car. I was told that the booster was integrated within the head unit of this radio so I would be just better buying a new head unit. This I have duly done. Excited with the prospect of getting the problem sorted I set about fitting the new Kenwood stereo along with extra fittings and a booster with gusto.

  Wonder if if you can help please? I've just bought a second-hand Vivaro. Tried to put the code in to unlock the radio (Battery had been disconnected by previous owner) but the central digital display (for clock/radio/outside temperature) is not working. Is there a seperate fuse for the digital display or could the problem be something else?

  Hi, the electrics on the above have played up for sometime now. The interior lights, folding mirrors, central locking, radio, all do not work unless the ignition is on, with the exception of the radio which doesn't work at all. The other little quirky thing is, if i leave the headlights on and remove the keys, the lights don't go out and i can't unlock the door again.

  Our 60 reg freelander has drained its battery 3 times in the last 4 months. It is used regularly but not every day for a mixture of driving. We think the radio might be slow draining the battery as some times there are issues with the radio if you leave it on when turning off ignition. Have you any advice or seen this before. We are beginning to lose confidence in the car as my wife uses it with our baby.
