Motorist caught speeding at 149mph on M25 2 Jun 2014 (News)
A motorist was caught on speed camera travelling at 149mph on the M25 – the highest speed recorded by a speed camera between April 2013 and May 2014. The driver was caught in Kent and was banned from driving for six months and was fined £600. It isn’t the highest speed ever recorded, however – that record goes to driver Ben Westwood, who reached speeds of up to 180mph while trying to outrun the police in a stolen, modified Audi RS5. -
BCA to Offer Porsche Carrera GT at Auction on 26th May 15 May 2014 (News)

Zipcar adds Ampera to fleet 21 May 2012 (News)
The Ampera is an electric vehicle with a 50 mile range, but after that a petrol powered-generator takes over and produces power to drive the car a further 310 miles. London users might never need that fuel, though. Zipcar has partnered with Boroughs across London to increase the number of charging points, so users can top up the battery without needing the petrol engine. -

The report also showed that price differences between member states generally decreased, but in some cases the differences remained large – meaning cross border savings for people on the continent, but that’s of little use to right-hand-drive customers. The overall drop in prices indicates that car makers are trying to compete with one another, a trend which has been observed for over ten years. Rowan Atkinson - in Mr Bean persona - bumped into Business Secretary Lord Mandelson during the Goodwood event and cheekily remarked: "Ah, Prime Minister." -
