  • Review: Guardsman dog guard (productReview)
The Guardsman dog guard is a vehicle-specific barrier that separates the cabin of the car from the boot, which protects you and your pet while in the car. Guardsman has been running since 1964 and is also a long-term supplier of dog guards and cages to  both Guide Dogs and The Dogs Trust.
  • Review: Piaggio MP3 500 Sport (productReview)
The Piaggio MP3 500 Sport is a motorcycle that most car drivers can ride on a car licence. Not many people know that a recent realignment of pan European licensing has handed car drivers a set of handlebars. That is, as long as they steer two front wheels and conform to some other specific regulations.
  • Review: Britax Römer Dualfix i-size (productReview)
The sheer size of the seat means it is worth checking the dimensions against the space available in your car – it fitted well enough in a 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan and a larger people carrier, but it might be tight in smaller cars. This is the case with many seats, though. If you don’t need to swap it between different cars on a regular basis then this is a fantastically user-friendly seat that is comfy for little ones.
  • Review: Vantrue OnDash N2 dash cam (productReview)
This uses the cameras’ motion-triggered capabilities to start recording if something moves near your car, which is ideal for those worried about the damage that might be incurred while parked. Like rival offerings, the Vantrue uses loop recording – so it’ll overwrite footage that isn’t required instead of simply filling up the memory card then stopping.

  • Top 10: Best scooters 2018 (Article)

Kymco XCITING S 400 Building on the existing XCITING 400, the new S version of Kymco’s maxi scooter will feature a couple of firsts. Prime among these is the option of Noodoe Navigation rider-centric sat-nav system.
  • Review: James Bond's DB5 book (productReview)
Do we need to see the shock absorbers? But we can't deny that this is a nuts and bolts look at the car, we just prefer the behind scenes pictures. There are also chapters on DB5 toys, like the Corgi model everyone wanted and Bond's other Aston Martin cars like the DBS in On Her Majesty's Secret Service and the V8 that Timothy Dalton drove in The Living Daylights (surely one of the most underrated Bond films).
  • Review: Stihl RE 120 Plus Pressure Washer (productReview)
Maximum pressure is 125 bar which slightly less than the cheaper Karcher K4, but we found the RE 120 Plus performed admirably during its time with us. We tested it on various cars over several months and it did a great job of removing dead bugs and the like in the summer, while dealing easily with mud and dirt in the autumn. We also tried out the spray kit with some Autoglym Polar Wash and it does a good job of creating thick foam that clings to the car, although it's not quite a match for the Autoglym foam lance we usually use and manages better coverage.
  • Top 10: Best car seats from Britax (Article)
Three recline positions mean comfort for baby, and there’s a choice of five fabric colours too. Britax Eclipse With many modern car seats being so bulky it can be a real challenge to find one to fit smaller cars, but the Britax Eclipse is designed exactly for that requirement with an extra-slim base. It’s a Group 1 seat that secures with a seat belt only, but can work with a three-point or two-point lap belt found in older cars.
  • Top 10: Child car safety products (Article)
This simple gadget protects the front seat backs from kicking little feet or whatever else a child might hurl or rub on car upholstery. It also has a handy storage pocket at the top, which means things like toys, wipes and drinks can be kept safely out of reach – and therefore not thrown around the cabin of a car in a tantrum.
  • Review: Ring Jumpstart 5 in 1 (productReview)
As a jumpstarter it can start 12V batteries on petrol engines up to 5.0-litres and diesel engines up to 3.0-litres, which covers the vast majority of cars. There's an extra boost function to help start completely flat batteries and it's compatible with start/stop batteries.  As a tyre inflator it comes with a digital pressure gauge so you can pre-set the desired pressure (it measures in PSI, kPa and Bar) and auto stop will turn it off once reached.
  • Review: Bridgestone Turanza 6 tyres (productReview)
The Turanza 6 is 2dB quieter than the T005 it replaces and it's certainly a quiet tyre - something you readily appreciate on a big car like the Audi Q7.  In terms of grip, the big Audi Q7 isn't the kind of car you want to be throwing around corners, but as SUVs go, it's one of the better handling models out there. The Turanza 6 tyres give you plenty of confidence in dry conditions feeling confidently grippy through low speed corners and reassuringly safe at higher speeds.
  • CONSUMER RIGHTS: How do I reject a vehicle or get compensation for problems with a car? (FAQs)
This first section attempts to simplify and clarify the various pieces of legislation and case law that protect you when you buy a new car.  Some of the law also covers any high-cost consumer durable for the first 6 years after purchase. The more complicated nitty gritty concerning both new and used cars follows.
  • Review: Norco Fluid 2 HT (2019) (productReview)
While hardtails are firmer than full-suspension bikes, the Fluid 2’s chunky tyres offer a fairly smooth ride even on bumpier trails. The seat is comfortable enough, too, but if you cover lots of miles it might be something you’d look to upgrade sooner than later. The Fluid 2 has a few cool tricks up its sleeve, too, including its TranzX dropper seat post. This lets you quickly adjust the height of your seat on the move using a lever on the handlebar - ideal if you’re approaching a steep uphill section, for example.
  • How to sell a classic car (Article)
It doesn’t matter whether your moving a concours-winning Ferrari or a Morris Minor in need of a complete restoration, if you don’t market the car to the right people you’ll lose money and waste time. Prepare your classic car for sale First impressions count. This means at the very least your car needs to be clean… unless you're selling a barn find, in which case leave it covered in dust and buried under boxes in the garage.
  • Review: Micro Sparrow electric scooter (productReview)
It has a kickstand at the front, rubber grips on the handlebars and a sturdy metal deck with a grippy covering. One thing to note is that Micro advises against riding it in the rain.
Review: Thule 991 RaceWay 2 bicycle carrier (productReview)
We say officially as although there are cars not listed in the accompanying booklet - things like the latest Ford Focus, BMW 5 Series Touring and Honda Civic to name just three - that's not to say the RaceWay won't fit so it's worth testing it out even if your car isn't on the list.
  • Top 10: Best roof bags (Article)
It can fit onto side rails or cross bars and the material makes it foldable so it can be packed into a small bag, which you can keep in the car. AUPERTO 425L The 425-litre AUPERTO roof bag is waterproof and windproof, with heavy-duty straps which can be easily attached to rack or side rails. However, you don't need roof bars as the strap can be secured from the top of the bag through the inside of the car.
  • Top 10: Car seats of 2023 (Article)
It adds increased side-impact protection, which is now part of the crash testing procedure. It’s also designed to be narrow overall, so that it takes up less space in the car while still giving the child enough room to be comfortable. Baby Jogger City Go i-Size Baby Jogger is another firm that fancied breaking into the world of car seats in recent years, and the City Go was the result.
  • Review: Thule Motion 3 roofbox (productReview)
Handy as with it fitted we can't take the Audi Q7 into any height restricted car parks. There are covers available for storage but at the moment ours is kept on wall hooks with a sheet over it.
