  hi every on first time on the forum. need some advice for my sedona 2002 2.9 the engine runs fine but not revving past 3000 rpm and that would make gears change very dificult . had the hooked on the kia main dealer computer and no fault was found and no engine light on at all plus the engine keeps running fine even with the MAF unplugged. some body might have sorted this problem before  please help me i'm really stuck and do not know what to do with it . thanks a lot for your response

  It is priced up at 9995 but is up for a bit of negotiation, Im looking at trading in my car and maybe running one of these for a year or two. In which case it would have done around 115,000 when it comes to selling it on. Is there any big issues to look for on these and would 28-30mpg be achievable on a run, what do you think?

  It appears to be coming from the area highlighted on the attached picture ( see link)  but apart from that seems to be running fine. It starts as soon as the ignition is switched on.(i.e. before the engine is running) .   Very briefly, I'm looking for an economical/reliable car to take me about 100 miles up and down a motorway twice a week and a little bit of running around in town. My budget is up to 3-4k. I like the look and have heard good things about the 1.3l Yaris and have seen some nice models from around 2005 with fairly low mileages. I guess the main thing is that I'm going to want something that is a comfortable ride on the motorway, but isn't going to cost me a fortune to run/insure/maintain.

  Hello All Currently have (18" run flats from new): 225/40 on fronts 225/35 on rears Want to replace with (non-run flat) winter tyres, and was wondering whether anyone knew if putting 225/40 on the rear was a no-no? Would also be useful to know why the profile on the rears is lower than the front but the width is the same.

  I crawled underneath to take a look and it looks like some kind of sensor. It's hanging down under the alternator and the wires come from a wiring loom that runs down past the alternator. It looks like a black plastic probe and has two wires running to it. Don't know what it is or where it should live? Any ideas?

  my car has been running really hot lately, the temp gauge doesnt say it is but you pop the bonet nad i could have a bbq. i drained the radiator and filled up with water/antifreeze and a bottle of k-seal, i think my heads on its way and need a temp fix. i filled her up and let her run idle for 15 and now it seems to heat up quicker, do i need to bleed the radiator and if so how?

  I have a Vauxhall Vectra 2l that runs on both petrol and LPG I have problems with it not starting properly. When it is cold it is fine it starts first time. After I have driven it for a short run to drop the kids off at school and the engine is warmer it struggles to start.

  hi can anyone throw some light onto why my fiesta td sometimes just starts running really fast, if i turn it off and press the accelerator a few times it then starts and runs fine then someimes does it again or stays ok, if i pull the acc pedal up it slows the engine back down again until i let go then it starts up again, any ideals cheers gary

  Hi i have a mr2 turbo which is running really flat, the boost guage is not going above 0.4 bar and am reliably told it should run at 0.7 and over. Also the waste gate diaphragm seems to push not pull -is this normal? and the diaphragm has 2 vac pipes going to it-1 to the hks boost controler and the other to goodness knows where-can anyone please help as i want to fix it before i sell it. many thanks jim {volume level in subject header lowered}

  Having had the use of diesel cars, trucks, farm tractors, and marine engines, in my experience the operators / engineers invariably say that the engines run smoother after a full load run when they have been lightly loaded for a period. Does this clear out of soot have a similar effect as a fuel additive. I make a point of accelerating up a steep hill or motorway slip road if I have been pottering around for a few days and have produced some spectacular smoke, my current car (2.0 tdci) doesnt smoke given this treatment, modern technology?

  Hi All, I recently bought a 1994 Pug 205 1.8 diesel Mardi Gras which only came with one key and no remote key fob. Unfortunately I managed to run the battery flat today and an immobiliser has kicked in and I cannot start the car (I did not know it even had an immobiliser!) Is there anyway to easily bypass the system and get the car running again or will I have to go to the main dealer which I guess will be very expensive?
