  • Parking dispute 2 Feb 2015 (Forum)
When I placed the ticket on the dashboard as I always do he was insistant that I stick it on the windscreen as the ticket said.  I don't like the residue of the glue on my windscreen, but my B-I-L said that I would get a fine because the attendants were looking out for the slightest infringement.

  • Toyota Yaris Hybrid - Coincidence or negligence? 6 Apr 2021 (Forum)
2 weeks later I was on the M25 when my tyre pressure light came on, I wasn't immediately concerned as it comes on if the pressure doesn't match the recommended settings but I was perturbed as the car had recently been MOT'd and serviced. I decided to come off at the next service station anyway and as I was pulling in to park, the front right tyre collapsed. The AA came out and identified a tyre fault (not puncture) and we took the car back to the MOT garage.

  • GOlf 1.6tdi se DSG - Heating system 2013 model 14 Dec 2020 (Forum)
Car warms up fine, temp need le is at 90 on the highway and oil tea says 90 degrees as wel -  so no duff thermostatl.  A/C works fine as well.  Saw a video on YouTube that suggest that these cars may have a duff temp sensor behind the side vents on both sides of the car - though video was for a mark 6 with climatronic.

  • Volvo V60 Recharge - Financial Ombudsman ruling against Insurance Co. 8 Feb 2024 (Forum)
    3. Tell your insurance company that you want an OEM replacement windscreen fitted by a manufacturer approved fitter.  The reasons are: 3a. 3rd party glass has not been tested in the same way as OEM glass and therefore cannot be proven to be as safe or to allow the car’s safety systems to operate as designed.
  • Ford Fiesta Mk4 1999 - Heating Issue 24 Jan 2013 (Forum)
Hi, Been having some issues with my heating over the past few months - most of the time only cold air comes through even when the dial is turned to maximum heat. It does occassionally blow warm air to begin with, but this soon turns cold. I've tried replacing the heater control valve and then tested the new one by turning the ignition on and could easily hear the valve click open.
  • A Ford ICE warning 1 Jul 2010 (Forum)
When he returned about two hours later (he drinks Coke by the way) the remote failed to unlock the car. To his surprise, he discovered the door handle was missing and that the car was, in fact, unlocked. Still bemused, he tried the remote and the car locked as normal, including the deadlocks. At this point, he decided to open the driver's door via the front passenger side and discovered the Ford 6000 radio/CD unit had been carefully removed, along with items from the glovebox and the boot.
  • Mercedes Benz - C220 - My new motor won't be a Merc ! 23 Aug 2009 (Forum)
I had the pleasure to have an early C220 CDI, [5th merc, and there will no 6th] at last the car gave in and died it was a long and chronic illness, just a few of the conditions of the german disease, more new tyres than all my previous cars, heating packed up [plastic parts inside broke], ventilar packed up, nav system never ever worker properly, had enoug on 2 cd in the car, during the second dics playing it was hot enough to fry eggs, door rubbers came out at wil, roof rail covers detached and were attached a least twice a year, front spring failed mot, rear wheel axel is close to failure, and now the automatic gearbox has packed in and the care does't even start anymor During all these wondersful events, MG gave zero support or took part of the cost on their account, a dealer I do know better said off the record this was a series that never should have been sold as the quality was 100% sheisse [cost savings under Herrn Schremp] So I have decided, I do like the new E class and would like to buy one, but as matter of principle will not let MB get their hands on my hard earned cash, the E seems to be a good car, but the last years was not a pleasure, so I am now visiting other showrooms, rdam SLT
