1980s classics in demand 11 Dec 2017 (News)
The cars were two of nine Porsches successfully hammered away in the sale. Demand for fast Fords is always high and ten cars from the blue oval found new homes. A concours condition 1987 Sierra RS Cosworth sold for nearly £6000 over its lower estimate, fetching £37,950. A 1988 XR3i cabriolet sold for £12,650, a 1986 Escort RS Turbo Series I fetched £10,120, and a 1983 Escort RS1600i which sold for £9900. -
Ferrari Enzo is top lot at RM Sotheby’s London sale 8 Sep 2017 (News)
This time, a 2004 Ferrari Enzo proved to be top lot at RM Sotheby’s London sale on 6 September. The car, which was finished in Blu Tour de France and had 8884km on the clock, made £1.8m Another strong seller was the 1955 Bentley R-Type Continental Fastback Sports Saloon. The car on offer was an ex-Bentley Drivers’ Club Concours Best in Class winner which was once owned by ex-Aston Martin Chairman and entrepreneur Victor Gauntlett. -
Covers come off the new TVR 8 Sep 2017 (News)
TVR has unveiled its all-new sports car, the TVR Griffith, at the Goodwood Revival. It’s the first new TVR to be launched since the company was resurrected in British hands. Employing Gordon Murray Design’s iStream architecture with carbon composite structure and body panels, the new Griffith weighs 1250kg, but it said to offer exceptional torsional rigidity and a perfect 50:50 weight distribution. -

Fiat Dino Spider makes £83,600 at auction 8 Mar 2017 (News)
A BMW 320 (E30) Convertible that had received £7000-worth of renovation work sold for £4125. The car had covered 110k and had recently had a new rear screen and hood fitted as well as suspension refresh. Bargain of the sale looked to be a 1986 Porsche 944 with an MoT until July. It sold for £1350, which is cheap considering values for these car are on the up This one was described by the seller as a good usable classic and came with some history. -
New London City Concours to be held in June 8 Mar 2017 (News)

New look British Motor Museum to open in February 15 Jan 2016 (News)
New features include a Collections Centre, which allows public access for the first time to an extra 250 cars from the reserve collections of the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust and the Jaguar Heritage Trust. Half-term will kick off with ‘Build a British Car Week’, from 13-21 February. -
Lancaster Insurance Mini resto to raise money for charity 23 Nov 2015 (News)
Richard Morley, Lancaster operations director, said he was very excited to be taking on the company's first restoration project. He said, 'When she’s fully restored, she’ll be a stunner! The car also has a fantastic backstory, being owned by mother and then daughter in the same family.' After a public vote , the Mini also has a name: 'Margo'. Restoration work will be carried out by the MG Owners' Club at its Cambridgeshire workshop, while enthusiasts can follow the car's progress in Classics Monthly magazine. -
Frankfurt Motor Show 2015: Infiniti Q30 makes debut 15 Sep 2015 (News)

It’s a two-owner car and is described by the vendor as ‘not the usual rubbish’. It’s a manual car and has been garaged all its life. There's the odd blemish here and there, but it does look like there are some rust bubbles beginning around the wheel arches... and possibly the sills. It does have 12 months' MoT, though - not bad for a car under a grand. -
Heroes: Ian Callum 26 Nov 2014 (News)

First Lynx Eventer could make £30,000 at auction 2 Sep 2014 (News)
The first production spec Lynx Eventer – one of just 67 made – was offered for sale at Silverstone Auctions’ Autumn Sale. In storage for the past 15 years, the car needed a full restoration. With 116,840 miles on the 5.3-litre V12 HE, the car came with a vast history file. Registered in 1982, 1 HOP (now wearing CYJ621Y) was used in Lynx’s marketing material and featured in the factory brochure as well as motoring magazines. -
Range Rover number one to be auctioned at Salon Privé 22 Aug 2014 (News)
When it was launched, the Range Rover created a whole new market sector, and this is a chance for someone to own the car that started it all – chassis number one. Originally planned as a post-war stopgap, buyers couldn’t wait to get their hands on Rover’s civilised off-roader. This car, built between 24 November and 17 December 1969, was registered on 2 January 1970 – nearly six months before the car officially went on sale. -
