  • Volvo V60 Cross Country (2019 - 2023) (Reviews)
Stylish without being brash or ostentatious, the Volvo V60 Cross Country acts as a reminder that an off-road-capable estate car is a viable alternative to some of the best SUVs on the market. Volvo has been producing its Cross Country line of estates since 1997, when it launched the Volvo V70 XC.
  • Volvo V90 Cross Country (2017 - 2023) (Reviews)
Launched in 2017, the Volvo V90 Cross Country is designed for rural types who haven’t bought into the SUV craze. It’s based on the standard V90 – the ‘V’ is used to denote Volvo estate cars – and it rivals the likes of the Audi A6 Allroad, Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain and, to a lesser extent, the cheaper Subaru Outback.
  • Volvo 850 and T5/T5R (1992 - 1997) (Classics Reviews)
When it arrived in 1991, the Volvo 850 was a game-changer for its maker - even if it didn't look like one. It marked a turning point for Volvo, because it finally saw that most conservative of Swedish carmakers fully embrace front-wheel drive - 10 years after most of the opposition.
  • Volvo 120/130 Amazon (1955 - 1970) (Classics Reviews)
Known in the UK - by enthusiasts - as the Amazon, the Volvo P120-Series still looks refreshingly modern today, although it was clearly a pastiche of the Chrysler 300. It was the car that broke Volvo into the UK market, and won many friends, thanks to being strong and reliable.
  • Volvo P1800, S, E and ES (1961 - 1973) (Classics Reviews)
The P1800 was a radical departure for Volvo. The conservative manufacturer of solid, well-engineered saloons took a stab at the coupe market - and did it very well indeed. It was the product of a project that actually started in 1957 when Volvo wanted a slice of the emerging US sportscar market.

  • Top 10: Signal blocking, keyless entry theft pouches and boxes 2024 (Article)
However, the key ring and manufacturer tag (plus any house keys you have on the key ring) won't fit. Larger keys, like new Volvo and Renault key fobs, won't fit either. The key fob-sized box i s lined with imitation suede, so your key doesn't rattle inside, and the device has 4.6 out of 5 stars on Amazon from over 35 reviews.
  • Review: Ring RTC2000 Cordless Handheld Tyre Inflator (productReview)
It's not designed to completely inflate a tyre - for that you need a more serious bit of kit like the Ring RTC1000 , but for checking tyre pressures (and topping up) it's ideal. We tested it on our Volvo V60 and to top up each tyre (about 2 to 3PSI) took around a minute and half for each which is pretty good. There's a digital display plus you can pre-set the pressure and just leave it to get in with the job.
  • Review: Ohme Home Pro EV Charger (productReview)
We've used it with our own Audi e-tron as well as a slew of different EVs we have tested including everything from a Volvo EC40 and a Vauxhall Astra Electric to a Volkswagen ID.7 GTX and a BMW i5 M60. It's perfomed impeccably with all, which the app making things very simple to control.  I initially wasn't sure if a five metre cable would be long enough given the various EVs I test, but it's surprisingly flexible cable and I've managed to hook it up to every EV that's been on the drive with no fuss.
  • Review: Z-Edge T4 Dual dash cam (productReview)
This is able to record in the same 1080p as the main camera and with a 155-degree field of view, it covers a wide area behind the car. As a result, the footage captured is just as sharp. We tested it in a Volvo XC60 (to give you some idea of height) which of course has the advantage of a rear wiper in wet conditions. If you've got a saloon you may find the camera filming raindrops on particularly wet days...
  • LPG: Where can I get my car converted to run on LPG? (FAQs)
There is now a standard conversion of the Perkins 180 diesel engine for buses and trucks, enabling them to run on LPG at the increased consumption rate of 25 to 50 per cent, but using a fuel which is less than half the price of diesel. New Citroen Xantias, Ford Mondeos, Vauxhall Vectras and Volvos with LPG conversions used to qualify for Powershift grants, but Citroen and Ford stopped offering converted cars and the EC has now stopped Powershift grants altogether. The LP Gas Association (tel: 01425 461612; website: http://www.UKLPG.org ) can recommend LPGA-accredited converters whose conversions on new cars would have qualified for Powershift grants had the EC not disallowed them.
