  Hi, Im hoping that somone can shed some light on the disastor im having with my 2003 JCW  Mini. 6 weeks ago my coolant dropped out my engine due to a cracked expansion tank which lead to my engine overheating and the head gasket needing replacing. This work was carried out by a mini specialist and the work included sending the warped head off to an external company to be skimmed and it was also crack tested.

  Simple facts as follows : Mini Cooper registered 9/14, sold as ex-demonstrator in 2/15 with 6500 miles. Originally registered to Mini Main Dealership who were the sole previous owner. This week my local Mini dealer (not the one from whom I purchased the vehicle) diagnosed a" knocking" sound as a loose engine mount.

  It's hoped that MGR steps in and buys the gearbox plant. The workers are that miffed there are rumours of sabotage of Mini gearboxes. BMW are moving to Getrag for the Mini in 2004. It might also explain something to do with the reason for production changes at Longbridge keeping the factory closed for five days. Personally, where do BMW get off?

  Hi Would really appreciate any opinions here.  So I have narrowed down a search to two cars mini cooper 1.5  one on a 20 plate comfort pack (25k miles) one on 71 plate comfort plus electric wingmirror/comfort access/rear parking camera etc 8.5k miles Both white.    20 plate is on foe 13750 71 plate on for 16750 Seems to be an enormous difference in price.

  Hello! Wondering if anyone can help this damsel in distress?! I have a Mini Cooper S Convertible 2006 plate. The car was serviced and MOT’d on Thursday and all was fine. A few bits under the car were recommended to do but the mechanic told me not to bother. Friday I drove approx 100 miles and no issues.

  We bought a 09 mini Cooper s in 2015 and looked after it well, yesterday the engine was leaking out oil and there' a hole..spoke to mechanic who has said we need a new engine, cost in excess of 2k! My question is, we're over half way through our hp agreement which means we can hand the car back, how does it work with them charging us?

   Hardly the point of auto, and this is my 5th (2 Volvos, Mercedes and BMW). Dealer and MINI UK not too interested so in desperation I brimmed tank (always use non-supermarket fuel) from 7/8ths empty with Shell V-Power.  Almost immediate improvement to auto behaving close to expectation, far less fussy, smoother, more responsive to driver inputs.

    Anyone catch Watchdog on BBC1 last night? I don't normally make a point of watching it but I switched on after dinner to witness BMW Mini getting a serious kicking from actor Richard E Grant about the power steering failure on his daughter's car, a petrol R50/53 made in 2004. (This was after Grant's much publicised Twitter rant, which got the car fixed free and a bouquet of flowers delivered to the young lady owner).

  My mini cooper s is in for its last free service today.each time i have sent it in for the other service,I have pointed it out for attention. Each time it has still been a problem. It doesn't happen evey time,but most of the time.
