  • Lexus IS 250C (2009 - 2013) (Reviews)
Lexus IS250C 2009 Road Test and Video
  • Lexus IS F (2008 - 2012) (Reviews)
Lexus is probably better known for comfortable, big four-door saloons and hybrids rather than performance cars but that was before the Lexus IS F came along. It may be based on the rather ordinary IS saloon, but it's a world away from an executive four-door with a thundering 5.0-litre V8 engine that produces more than 400bhp and delivers a 0-62mph time of less than 5.0 seconds.
  • Lexus RX350 (2006 - 2009) (Reviews)
Faster, more economical and better equipped than the RX300. A refined, enjoyable drive. Solid build quality.
  • Lexus GS (2005 - 2012) (Reviews)
The Lexus GS is the Japanese brands' luxury rival to established executive models like the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E-Class .
  • Lexus RX400h (2005 - 2009) (Reviews)
I don't feel any guilt making a case for the Lexus RX400h. It's a quiet and very comfortable conveyance with the performance of a big V8 SUV, yet fuel economy that beats all full-size diesel SUVs. I averaged 31.3mpg, which is nothing to be ashamed of in a car that kicks out 273PS, gets to 60 in 7.3 seconds and weighs 2,000kg.
  • Lexus LS430 (2003 - 2007) (Reviews)
Refined, comfortable express with plenty of room, bags of luxury kit and the sturdiest build quality this side of an underground nuclear shelter.
  • Lexus RX300 (2003 - 2006) (Reviews)
Generously equipped, luxurious interior. Nicer to drive than a Range Rover. Extremely well screwed together.
  • Lexus IS SportCross (2001 - 2005) (Reviews)
I remember the launch of the Lexus IS200 at the 1998 Motor Show. There was a lot to feast your eyes on because the same show also saw UK launches of the Jaguar S Type, the Rover 75 and the E46 BMW 3-Series. The Rover 75 and the Jaguar S Type seemed satisfyingly retro (the Rover more so than the Jag) and, while the E46 3-Series was a pre-Bangled evolution of the E36, the one car that stood out as clean, fresh and new was the exquisite IS200.
  • Lexus SC430 (2001 - 2009) (Reviews)
Effortlessly swift, luxurious and refined alternative to the Mercedes SL, complete with folding hard-top and first-class build quality.

  • Lexus RX 450h (2009 - 2015) (Reviews)
Lexus isn't afraid to do things differently as the RX 450h shows. Not only does it look very different from other 4x4s, but as the 'h' in the name suggests, this is a hybrid model. It combines a V6 petrol engine with an electric motor to keep CO2 emissions low at 148g/km and also makes it exempt from the central London congestion charge.
  • Lexus LS 600h (2006 - 2012) (Reviews)
And it is the only limousine in the world that can waft away from a kerb completely silently, emitting nothing whatsoever into city atmospheres, achieving everything Ken Livingstone apparently wants apart from an ostentatious display of hard-earned wealth. 2007 Road Test Lexus LS600h
