Non-stick car 20 Jan 2003 (Forum)
Whilst washing a non-stick pan and noticing the water run off as if it had been waxed the thought came to me why not apply the finish to cars, imagine just having to hose the dirt off and never needing to wax it ever. There must be a reason why this process has not been applied before... cost, durability, anybody know the why. -
oil consumption 12 Jan 2003 (Forum)
l have recently bought a peugeot 405 2ltr petrol, l've had to top-up the oil roughly every 3 weeks, each time the oil level drops half way between the high and low marks on the dipstick (about 3/4 of a litre), the car runs fine does not smoke and there appears to be no external leaks, is this oil consumption normal for this model? Alfa Romeo 156 Sunroof water leak 10 Jan 2003 (Forum)
Has anyone had experience of this? Water seems to have run down the a-pillar (cloth lining on a-pillar and around sunroof is soaked) and then soaked the front passenger footwell. I've heard the drain holes might be blocked but when I push a wire down them, it stops after about 2 feet. -

Leather seats 5 Feb 2002 (Forum)
I was wondering what leather seats on an Audi A4 or A6 did for the resale. I do like the comfort of leather ( easy to fidget in on a long run - the synthetic cloth seats grip like velcro). However it costs £1500 extra. Any thoughts? Peter -

Would this cause any issues? I was concerned about the kink. Not sure how critical this pipe is to the running of the engine overall. https://photos.app.goo.gl/nYMk1uj2pPfPgwoQ9 -
Honda Civic - Honda spares prices? 3 Feb 2023 (Forum)
On my "to view" list ATM is a 04 Honda Civic with around 80K miles. Good MOT history, but I'm told that running an old Honda can be problematic because of the price of parts compared to something like a Focus. Anyone confirm or deny? -

In daylight the only electrical load will be the ignition system, brake lights and indicators, but it'll have to be started a couple of times too. Could be good practice for running an electric vehicle. -

Jaguar XF Sportbrake - Lorries in outside lanes 1 Nov 2021 (Forum)
Travelling along A14 this week I had to break heavy to avoid running into the rear of an LGV as it pulled into the 3rd(outside) lane. I noted two other trucks do the same. Is this allowed? Also, there are a number of stretches on the two lane locations of the M14 where overtaking is prohibited on up hill gradients but this is blatantly ignored. -
