  Hello all,  Looking to purachse a larger second car - sniffing around the S-max, Tiguan, Tucson, Hr-V/similar 2 adults, 2 kids and a dog. Mainly town driving, with extended motorway jaunts during half-terms, etc (400 miles approx), during the week, however, I doubt it will do 100 miles.

  My 2004 Jaguar S-Type diesel has a battery warning light on all the time on the dash. I've fitted a new battery, but the light hasn't gone off. Any ideas?

    Just driven about and noticed it's warm despite being heated rear being switched off ... maybe this has made it go in to decline?  The n/s one doesn't seem to warm up at all. Anybody else experienced this?  Presumably it's a fault?  How to rectify it? thanks

  Hi, I am just new to driving world. I purchased VW Golf 1.4 S 2006 model. I observed when I switched on the engine, it shows Exhaust Gas Warning Lamp & EPC warning lights.  However, when I start engine they both just disappear.  I have no idea if this is an issue or just normal lights.

  Hi, I am after some advise after storing my brother's Mini Cooper S in my garage. I moved it into the garage a month or so ago and it started no problem but I went to move this weekend and it wouldn't start. All the dash lights came on and it made a clicking sound when I turned the key but the car did not start.

  Hello, does anyone have any information on fitting an LPG kit to a 2003 honda accord 2.4i vtec type s. Not taking into account the cost of the kit etc, Is there any reason it wouldn't work, I have been looking on the net at different kits and one company does a sequetial kit, with independant injectors and being run from the cars own ECU?

  Went to go shopping today in my mark 4 s reg Astra 1.8 cd model its only done 82k miles with fsh and when i turn the corner the power steering deceided not to work! Heavy or what! Anyway I stopped the car turn off ignition ect then went to restart and now works fine again!!??

  Also, What's the verdict on the 5-speed electronic autoboxes fitted to 97-on XJ8 and the 5-speed box fitted to the S-Type? Is the S-type box the same as the XJ8? There are A LOT of autobox failures with regards to S-Type autobox on CarSurvey but not that many failure on XJ8. Many thanks, Gazza

  My dads Cooper S is just over a year old and when he rang the local dealer that he bought it from they said it didn't need it's 1st service until the car had done 10,000 miles. Bearing in mind that it has only done 4 - 5k in just over a year that will make the car over 2 years old before it has a service.

  However, the report they submitted to the insurance company stated that the vehicle should be dealt as a total loss due to GTA guidance showing the costs exceeding 66% of the market value.  The report also stated under salvage category that the vehicle was a Category S. The insurance company initially wanted to deal with the claim on a total loss basis but once they realised the vehicle had PCP on it, they opted for the repair route instead. When I questioned on the report that a Category S was also listed, I was assured that because they were not dealing with the claim as a total loss, the vehicle would not be recorded as a Cat S.
