  • Top 10: Gifts between £50 and £150 (Article)
Like the previous SPRK+, BOLT is a transparent sphere loaded with components; infrared and lights sensors, accelerometers and gyroscopes and an 8x8 LED matrix display. You can control it via almost any smart device that can run the Sphero apps to play games or just drive it around. But BOLT can go a stage further and can be programmed through the app, using Scratch programming blocks or even direct JavaScript.
  • Top 10: Gifts for gamers (Article)
However, as time goes on more games are being developed specifically for the Pro, with big budget blockbuster titles like   God of War and   Horizon: Zero Dawn running in maximum resolution with HDR. >> Read our full review
  • Review: Joie Spin 360 (productReview)
After all, who is going to risk waking a sleeping baby just to put them in a pushchair. It's also not i-size compliant - the  new standard for child seat safety which will run parallel to the current regulation until 2018. It doesn't have rebound bar at the rear but there is a support leg. This means it's one of the smallest swivelling seats around - ideal if you've got a smaller car.
  • Used Van Buying Guide: Nissan NV200 2009-2019 16 Jun 2025 (News)
.  Spacious yet compact, the NV200 is a perfect urban van that’s yet to be surpassed on volume among its regular wheelbase rivals. Inexpensive to buy and run, the NV200 might not be the first light can you think of in the class, but it’s well worth consideration.
  • Review: Nextbase 422GW dash cam (productReview)
width=500&height=333.33333333333337" alt="" data-udi="umb://media/84984bb008f74491983749a5c7d18661" /> As far as negatives go, we'd prefer a USB lead and plug rather than a moulded 12v unit - it means you can run or charge something else at the same time, but that's a minor gripe. We'd recommend hardwiring the 422GW, which can be done easily at Halfords. The new Nextbase range takes microSD cards up to 64GB - we're currently using 32GB microSD cards in ours.
  • Review: Hive Active Heating 2 (productReview)
Aside from cutting your energy bills, the Hive aims to give you full control via a smartphone app (for Android and iPhone) or using the website, so you can do things like boosting the hot water as you leave work if you want to run a bath when you get home or turning the heating off if it's feeling a bit stuffy after you've already gotten into bed. Like Nest, Hive Active Heating also works with other Hive products to turn your house into a smart home - as well as with smart assistants.
  • Top 10: Cycling accessories (Article)
Aftershokz Aeropex offer a great amount of versatility and despite a few gripes - like weak bass and a non-adjustable headband - the wearables are a lightweight solution for anyone who wants to be aware of their surroundings while they're out and about. Or, like us, anyone who hasn't yet found a truly comfortable pair of headphones for running. The £150 price tag is a bit steep, especially considering there's no app to adjust audio settings, but when it comes to a great all-rounder - it's hard not to recommend them. >> Read our full review   Wahoo ELEMNT Bolt Whether you’re a serious cyclist or just want to make life easier on your day-to-day bike rides, a GPS computer like the Wahoo ELEMNT Bolt can be an easy way of accessing route information and finding out just how well you’re performing.
  • Top 10: Gifts for new and learner riders (Article)
The heat controller uses a sealed-for-life welded case construction for long-term durability and weatherproofing along with weatherproof power connectors to further protect the HotGrips against the elements. If you forget to turn the switch off, it will do it for you so you don't run your battery flat. The grips also have ergonomically engineered surface structures to optimise riding performance. Thicker rubber in areas of maximum wear ensure high levels of grip and vibration absorption.
  • Review: Maxi-Cosi AxissFix (productReview)
The AxissFix Plus costs £395 new but the good news is that the AxissFix is still available online and we've seen it down to £275 through some online retailers. It's also i-size compliant - the new standard for child seat safety which will run parallel to the current regulation until 2018. It also comes with a top tether system, which no other swivelling car seat we've tested has.
How to buy a new van (Article)
Important :  Petrol vans don’t have as much torque as a diesel, which means they can feel quite sluggish when fully laden. The running costs are also much higher and turbocharged petrol engines are known to struggle to get anywhere near their official fuel economy ratings when pulling a van that’s packed with people, tools and materials.

  • Top 10: Films for car enthusiasts (Article)
Trivia: To save money on the budget and because they didn't always have permits,   William Friedkin   had the cameraman carted around in a wheelchair instead of using a camera mounted on dolly tracks for the moving shots. This is most noticeable when   Gene Hackman   runs to then enters the subway car. As the camera follows Hackman hurrying towards the car the film movement is smooth but then shakes noticeably as the cameraman has to get up from the wheelchair to follow Hackman.

  • Top 10: 125cc motorcycles 2020 (Article)
The riding position is typical of this breed of Suzuki too, canting the rider forward, which helps take the weight off the hard, unyielding seat pad. There’s good wind protection and running costs are in the pocket money bracket.  This all makes the GSX-R125 very good value and it’s far from the most expensive 1125cc race rep on the market, but it is one of the best to ride.
  • Top 10: Favourite products of 2018 (Article)
If you l ose your keys you can use your phone to find it. Lose your phone and your Tile can make your phone bleep back at you. Every running Tile app tracks Tiles around it too, so if you lose both then you can call upon your fellow Tile users to help you find it. In October 2018, Tile updated the previous Tile Pro to equip it with a replaceable battery, one of the most requested features from Tile users.
  • Review: Sphero BOLT (productReview)
You can play a multitude of games with the Sphero itself, including Lightspeed Drifter, a simple driving game where we have to reach the end of the level before the time runs out. The simplest game, Round Trip, is arguably the most addictive. Like a more difficult version of Pong, you just swivel the Bolt to move blocks in front of the virtual ball to keep it within the boundaries.
  • Top 10: Greatest driving games (Article)
That’s not to disparage it - there’s generally far more fun to be had doing that than there is finding the apex in a Honda Jazz in order to shave 0.001 seconds from a lap time, for example, *cough* Gran Turismo *cough*  Aside from Ridge Racer Unbounded (which was influenced by Burnout) the game has generally never strayed far from the same basic mechanic - overtake as many cars as possible before the timer runs out. Occasionally clenching a fist in personal glory after nailing the perfect high speed powerslide. Or, if there's someone next to you, forgetting yourself and shouting something really embarrassing, like "BADADINGALING!"
  • Review: Volkswagen T2 Danbury Camper (Article)
Danbury reckons it can be tortured to a little over 80mph, but doesn’t even bother with a 0-62 figure, although searching the internet revealed 22.2 seconds, which seems credible. We suspect it will return about 30mpg, and is capable of running on biofuel –many Brazilians power their cars and vans on alcohol extracted from sugar cane. A lot of people who loathed the old Beetle’s sometimes twitchy handling liked the Type 2, because the driver and front passenger sat over the front axle, compensating for the vehicle’s tail heavy weight distribution, and aside from some cross wind wander, the van’s neutral handling won praise.
  • Car Seat Chooser (Article)
Originally Isofix had the two anchor points but some cars also have a top tether point – usually on the back of the seat. If you’re not sure look for the Isofix labels or simply run your hands along the gap where the seat base and back meet to feel for the metal hooks. Two-seater cars often have them fitted in the passenger seat although you do of course have to turn the passenger airbag off.
