BMW 3-Series E90 (2005 - ) - 325d SE Day 1 - Collection 29 Mar 2008 (Forum)
It'll be a few thousand, I expect, before it begins to find its stride. The test drive car pulled like a locomotive. HJ's guide to running in a diesel recommends 3000rpm max for the first thousand miles. It's going to be quite easy to keep it down to that. In fact it will be difficult to open it up progressively to the recommended 4500 and beyond eventually. -
Seat Altea XL - first impressions 21 Jul 2007 (Forum)
TomTom 510 Sat Nav unit. Engine Engine is very good with strong pull right through the gears. As with most diesels it doesn?t do too much in first from standstill but then quickly makes up for lost time. Engine is definitely noisier than the Scenic dci I previously had, especially noticeable whilst idling. Seat have stopped putting ? -
Review of 3 Scenics 8 Sep 2004 (Forum)
t get to the bottom of it. No doubt the garage fixed it for the new owner! Engine wise, the old style turbo diesel was great. Over the term of ownership, I averaged 48.5mpg, it had great torque, could cruise at 100mph all day long on the French motorways. I liked my first Scenic so much that I believed Renault? -
Transcontinental road trip 30 Nov 2003 (Forum)
Furthermore we had to grapple with an awesome exchange rate of 1,725,000 Turkish lira to the Euro. A full tank of diesel was 100 million lira. That sounds like a lot of money. I have never signed a credit card slip showing 100 million of any currency before. It is a weird feeling. There are so many zeros on the bank notes it makes your eyes water. -
2004 Pontiac GTO - Motor Trend review 7 Dec 2003 (Forum)
Even the small rear wing looks appropriate, lending just the right sporty finish to the tail. In fact, the GTO is so tastefully subdued, it'll surely disappoint those expecting the Vin Diesel treatment. Yet the muscle is there for those who appreciate subtlety. Check out the ride height, for instance. When have you seen a factory General Motors product so rakishly low to the ground--or sporting such narrow tire-to-body gaps? -
Mazda 3 - Mazda 3 2.2 d engine failure - warranty problem 13 May 2015 (Forum)
I'd looked in the service manual, and the only thing not included in the Halfords major service was the "Fuel injection inspection". I rang Halfords and asked if this would be included, and whether their major service would keep my warranty valid, and he confirmed that it would. I didn't get this in writing.
