Audi teases new A2 e-tron hatchback
- All-new entry-level EV
- Looks inspired by original A2 of the early 2000s
- Aimed at younger, city-based customers
- Full reveal in the autumn
Audi is bringing back the A2, but this time it's electric. This is our first official glimpse at the new Audi A2 e-tron, an all-electric hatchback due for a full reveal later this year.
Very little information has been revealed about the A2 e-tron so far, but we know it'll be a new entry-level electric vehicle (EV) for Audi, with a price tag that should be considerably below its next largest battery car, the Q4 e-tron. It's inspired in part by the innovative A2 of the early 2000s, which was impressively efficient for its time.
Expect the new A2 e-tron to be similar in size to the A3, and a rival for cars like the Volkswagen ID.3, the Volvo EX30, the Mercedes-Benz EQA and more. It'll also replace the A1 and the Q2 as Audi's most affordable options – they're both being discontinued in the near future.
We'll update this page with more information about the new Audi A2 e-tron when it's made available.
2027 Audi A2 e-Tron price and release date
The new A2 E-Tron will get its world premiere in the autumn, and we'd expect to see it arrive in the UK in the early part of 2027. Prices will be announced nearer the time, but a starting price around the £30,000 mark seems likely,
