Kia reveals trio of high-performance electric GT models.

- Each model is a performance version of the standard equivalent
- Big power, increased performance and lots of standard features
Kia has pulled the wraps from three new GT versions of its EV models. The Kia EV3 GT, the EV4 GT and the EV5 GT are all upgraded versions of the EV3, the EV4 and the EV5, respectively.
All follow a similar recipe, which is to beef up the original car with sportier looks, extra power and enhanced handling for more fun (although they're not quite as muscular as the very rapid EV6 GT). Being more expensive modelsthan the standard cars, they also come with plenty of extra kit.

The Kia EV3 GT and EV4 GT are closely related, sharing the same mechanical underpinnings. Both feature dual electric motors with a combined 292PS, while the EV5 GT features a 306PS dual-motor setup. All the new cars have an 81.4kWh battery.
The trio of new performance Kia EVs means new rivals for various cars already on sale or due to arrive shortly. The EV3 GT and EV4 GT (below) will take aim at the likes of the Cupra Born VZ and dual-motor SUVs like the Vauxhall Mokka GSE and Smart #1 Brabus, as well as petrol-powered cars like the Volkswagen Golf R and the Audi RS3.
The EV5 GT, meanwhile (above), will be a rival for cars like the Ford Mustang Mach-E, the Skoda Enyaq vRS, and the Volkswagen ID.4 GTX.
2026 Kia EV3 GT, EV4 GT, EV5 GT price and release date

No information about a release date or UK pricing has yet been released for any of the new Kia EV GTs, although they're all due to arrive at some point in 2026. Production is due to start in the second quarter of the year, so an arrival time around late spring or summer would seem likely.
We can take an educated guess at pricing. With the top-spec Kia EV3 currently priced at around £44,000, and the standard Kia EV4 topping out at just under £45,000, we'd expect the GT models for both to be at least £50,000.
The EV5 GT will be pricier still, with the top-spec regular model costing £48,000 – we'd guess at least £55k for the new one.
We'll update this article once we have more information.
2026 Kia EV3 GT, EV4 GT, EV5 GT styling, interior and technology
All three GT models have had the same treatment over the standard car, with beefed up styling, enhanced suspension and larger wheels and brakes to cope with the extra power.
The Kia EV3 GT has 20-inch alloy wheels and gets semi-bucket GT seats inside, neon-green interior accents, and ambient lighting that changes colour depending on what driving mode you've selected. A Harman Kardon sound system is standard, as is a head-up display.

The Kia EV4 GT, like the standard car, will be available in hatchback and Fastback body styles, and again, will come with a number of exterior accents, including 20-inch alloys and a lower ride height. Inside and it gets a similar treatment, with semi-bucket seats, a three-spoke steering wheel and a special GT set of graphics on the infotainment.
The Kia EV5 GT meanwhile gets similar upgrades over the standard car that the other two cars enjoy inside and out.
All three models get Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology which lets you charge small appliances from the car's battery using a three-pin plug.
2026 Kia EV3 GT, EV4 GT, EV5 GT motors, performance and efficiency
Both the Kia EV3 GT and the EV4 GT share a set of dual electric motors with 292PS, resulting in both having near identical performance figures. Out of the two, it's the EV4 GT that's ever-so slightly quicker, with a 0-62mph acceleration time of 5.6 seconds, with the EV3 GT taking a fraction longer at 5.7 seconds - will you notice that in the real world? Probably not.

The larger Kia EV5 GT (above) gets a bit more power – 306PS – but isn't as quick, due to its weight, with a time of 6.2 seconds to get to 62mph.
All three cars use the same 81.4kWh batteries, but its the EV5 GT that's a bit quicker to charge, taking 30 minutes to charge from 10% to 80% with a fast charger, whereas the EV3 GT and EV4 GT taking a minute longer.
All three models have Kia's Virtual Gear Shift, which mimics a traditional gear shift for more driver involvement (despite electric cars having only one actual gear). Active Sound Design helps provide a more interesting noise, too.
What is the range of the Kia EV3 GT?
The official range of the new Kia EV3 GT is still to be confirmed, though the standard car has a maximum range of 375 miles with the same battery.
How powerful is the new Kia EV3 GT?
WIth 292PS, the Kia EV3 GT has a decent amount of power from two electric motors, although not quite as much as was expected – the EV6 GT set a high benchmark with its 650-odd horsepower setup, but the EV3 GT, as well as the EV4 GT and EV5 GT, are decently quick rather than bonkers-fast.
When will the new Kia EV4 GT be available?
No firm UK release date has been announced yet, but the EV4 GT is due to go into production in the second quarter of 2026.
