Suzuki Jimny refreshed for 2013

The Suzuki Jimny receives a package of revisions for 2013, most notably a freshened-up interior and styling tweaks.

Design changes include a new front bumper and grille design, new design bonnet shape incorporating central air intake as well as repositioning of the front fog lamps. The new front bumper design means the Jimny is now slightly longer at 3675mm, but it's still the smallest off-roader on sale in the UK.

The SZ3 receives new seat trim, while both SZ3 and SZ4 get new front and rear headrests as well as ISOFIX child seat mountings fitted as standard to the rear seats.

The compact 4x4 model has sold 20,000 in the UK since its launch in 1998, and has a loyal following among owners who appreciate its genuine off-road capability and low price. Globally, the Jimny and its tiny predecessors have racked up 2.6 million sales in 43 years.

Vital statistics are 39.8mpg in government combined cycle tests (38.7mpg for the automatic), and respective CO2 outputs are 162 and 167g/km. The SZ3 is available from £11,995 on the road, and the SZ4 is £12,900 in manual form; £13,800 for the automatic.
