Published 21 May 2014

Honda is to debut its Civic Type R and NSX concepts in the UK for the first time at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The two concepts are both set to go into production, rekindling Honda’s performance car line up from 2015.

The NSX concept has been doing the rounds at international motor shows for a few years but this will be its first UK appearance. The production model is expected next year and will be powered by a V6 petrol engine, powering all four wheels. A pre-order book is open, with Honda taking £5000 deposits.

Also due in 2015 is the all-new Civic Type R. Unlike its predecessors the new model will be turbocharged engine, which is expected to produce around 280PS. Honda is aiming to make it the fastest front wheel drive car to lap the Nurburgring in Germany.

Along with the two concept cars, Honda is to have a range of dirtbikes available for visitors to try out. These will include the child-sized CRF50 and CRF110, plus the CRF125, CRF250L and CRF250X, all of which can be taken for 20 minute off-road taster sessions under the guidance of experienced instructors.
