Volkswagen extends scrappage scheme to April 2018

Published 20 December 2017

Volkswagen's scrappage scheme is confirmed to run until 2 April 2018 – with deliveries of new vehicles to be completed by 30 June 2018.

Drivers can continue to benefit from Volkswagen's scrappage scheme until the begining on April, with savings up to £6000 on offer. The discounts are available to owners of any pre-Euro 5 diesel vehicle registered before 2010, as long as it's been owned by the customer for at least six months.

All new Volkswagen petrol and diesel cars meet the latest Euro 6 emissions standards. There are also a range of plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles on offer.

Combined with OLEV grant, customers could get £8500 off the price of a new e-Golf. As well as the e-Golf, e-up and Passat GTE, the I.D. Buzz is also confirmed to be going into production.

With news of Ford and Volkswagen extending their scrappage offers, other manufacturers are expected to announce similar extensions into the first few months of next year.
