Renault joins list of manufacturers with scrappage discounts

Published 01 September 2017

Renault will give owners of pre-2010 cars £2000 towards a new car if they scrap their old one. In conjunction with other discounts, car buyers can save up to £5200 and van buyers as much as £7000.

The car traded in must have been registed to the owner for more than 90 days and must have emissions of Euro 4 standard or earlier. It must have been registered by 31 December 2009 and will be permanently removed from the road and scrapped.

The discounts can be used when buying on PCP or hire purchase, as well as for outright purchases. Full details of the eligible cars and vans, as well as total discounts are below. Twingo and Koleos are excluded from scheme. Strangely, so are all electric models.
