Skoda releases pictures of updated models

Wed, 22 Apr 2009
Motorists planning on buying a car may be tempted to give Skoda a try after seeing the first official pictures of a couple of the manufacturer's updated models.

The Octavia Scout and vRS have reportedly undergone a number of changes to bring them in line with other vehicles in the company's range.

Buyers who opt for the first model will be able to choose a new metallic paint finish called Rosso Brunello.

The vehicle has also been fitted with body-coloured side mouldings and a revised large front bumper.

Meanwhile, the vRS now comes with 18-inch Neptune alloys and LED lamps.

Customers will find this is available in the new shade of Anthracite and has a higher top speed than its predecessor.

In other motoring news, the manufacturer recently urged Skoda drivers to drop into their local dealership to get their air conditioning units cleaned.

The company explained systems can become contaminated after months of lying idle.
