Ibiza drives away with two design awards

Fri, 20 Mar 2009
Seat's success in a recent design competition may inspire Brits considering buying a car this year.

The manufacturer's Ibiza has just won two awards at the Red Dot event in Germany.

Some 3,231 products were entered in the 2009 competition across 17 different categories and the Seat SC model achieved recognition for its outstanding quality, while the five-door version of the vehicle was handed a Best of the Best accolade - the highest honour available.

The carmaker pointed out that buyers would find the motor comes with a comprehensive list of standard equipment.

Some of the features drivers can expect to find are a range of airbags, multi-function trip computer, Hill Hold Control and front fog lights with cornering ability.

Prices for the car start at £8,605.

Meanwhile, motorists who prioritise green credentials when buying a car may be impressed to hear Seat's Leon Ecomotive concept vehicle boasts CO2 emissions of under 100 g/km.
