Fiat announces prices for soft-top 500

Fri, 27 Mar 2009
Motorists looking at buying a convertible car this summer may be tempted by the soft-top Fiat 500, after the manufacturer announced prices for the model.

The company revealed the vehicle will cost between £11,300 and £14,100, pointing out this makes it significantly cheaper than many of its rivals.

Buyers will be able to choose between 11 different bodywork colours - including the newly introduced Tech House Grey - while the roof comes in red, ivory and black.

All versions of the car feature air conditioning, remote central locking, seven airbags, an electrically-operated hood, electric door mirrors and a radio, CD and MP3 player.

Fiat's marketing director Elena Bernardelli commented: "It is a car for people who want to express themselves and demonstrate their own personality."

She said: "I am sure 500 C will make a host of enthusiastic new friends."

Meanwhile, Fiat recently launched a test drive that offers motorists advice on how they can cut their CO2 emissions.
