Citroen concept to debut in Geneva

Wed, 18 Feb 2009
Those thinking of buying a car in the not so distant future may be interested to hear Citroen will unveil its latest concept model at the Geneva motor show.

Named the DS Concept, the vehicle has been described by the French manufacturer as holding "strong visual presence", along with "seductive styling".

It will be displayed alongside Citroen's range of sub-110 g/km CO2 cars, from the C1 to the C6.

Other models on show will be the latest version of the C3 Picasso, which is set to go on sale in the UK in April.

Commenting, managing director of Citroen UK Xavier Duchemin said it was "very exciting" to be showcasing the manufacturer's future plans, when other vehicle makers are postponing of cancelling releases.

He added the current range offers "excellent value, environmentally sensitive and stylish options".

In other news, Citroen has revealed its World Rally Championship team has been renamed to Citroen Racing.
