New SUV from Chevrolet 'offers value for money'

Mon, 19 Jan 2009
Motorists considering buying a car in the coming months may want to check out a new model from Chevrolet.

According to the manufacturer, the Captiva Ikon is an SUV which comes without the prohibitive price tag.

On sale now, the vehicle costs from £15,995 on the road and is based on the company's LS model.

Like the LS, the car features remote locking, CD and stereo with steering wheel-mounted controls, electrically-adjustable mirrors, a glass flip tailgate, electric windows and air conditioning.

In addition, it offers 20-inch alloys, a chrome exhaust tailpipe, side steps and privacy glass.

Chevrolet suggested the Ikon was ideal for people with larger SUVs looking to cut costs, as well as families who had outgrown their hatchback.

However, it stated: "To catch your dream Ikon, you need to hurry - it won't be around forever."

Meanwhile, Chevrolet recently revealed its new small car - the Spark - will be unveiled at the Geneva motor show this March.
