Chevrolet may spark car buyers' interest

Mon, 12 Jan 2009
Motorists who expect to be buying a car this time next year may want to consider the latest model from Chevrolet.

The manufacturer said drivers may be surprised by the Spark, as it is quite different from its previous vehicles.

It stated the fact the show version of the car has pearlescent green paintwork demonstrates its determination to break with tradition.

Due to arrive in showrooms across the UK in early 2010, Chevrolet predicted the vehicle will take the small car market by storm with its fresh and youthful appearance.

Troy Clarke, president of General Motors in North America, commented: "The Spark will add great style, roominess and versatility to the segment of extremely fuel-efficient small cars."

In related motoring news, the manufacturer recently released its sale figures for 2008.

They showed the company had enjoyed its best turnover in the UK ever - while increasing its market share from 0.76 per cent to 0.86 per cent, compared with 2007.
