Dates for 2009 Revival released

In motoring news that may be of interest to classic car enthusiasts, provisional dates for next year's Goodwood Revival have been revealed.

Announced by the Earl of March, the 2009 event is expected to take place over the weekend which starts September 18th.

Organisers have promised next year's show will incorporate a more flexible approach to grandstand seating so that there is more roaming viewing as well as improved camping facilities.

Commenting on the appeal of the event, they said: "The Revival is truly a magical step back in time and celebrates the halcyon days of motor racing as it used to be with all the accompanying spectacle and glamour of the era."

This year's extravaganza included one of the most expensive grids of historic vehicles ever to compete in one race.

It was also revealed today the Goodwood Festival of Speed is pencilled in from July 3rd to 5th.
