Citroen C5 Tourer to launch

Wed, 21 May 2008
The new Citroen C5 Tourer estate car is set to launch on June 17th in the UK.

Announcing the news, Citroen said that prices will begin at £16,695 for the 1.8i 127hp SX model, with the most expensive version being the 2.7HDi V6 208hp Auto Exclusive car at £25,495.

Features of the vehicle include a 505-litre boot, self-levelling suspension, ABS, split folding rear seats, a motorised tailgate, nine airbags, an optional seat-back massage function and emergency braking assistance.

The vehicle is several centimetres longer and higher than its C5 Saloon counterpart, Citroen said.

Xavier Duchemin, managing director at Citroen UK, remarked: "The C5 Tourer is a perfect complement to the new C5 range ... standing out from its rivals with its dynamic and stylish appearance, exceptional equipment levels and all the functionality and convenience that are desired of a vehicle in this class."

In April, Citroen's Grand C4 Picasso won the title of Best MPV at the What Diesel awards ceremony, while the company was also named Best Green Manufacturer.
