Chevrolet lifts lid on world's 'first car fitting room'

Tue, 15 Apr 2008
The world's first car fitting room has been installed by automobile manufacturer Chevrolet.

Motorists looking to pick up a new vehicle can head to the firm's Phoenix Wimbledon site and check out what they look like in the driving seat using mirrors and a special remote-controlled platform.

According to Channel 4 style guru Nicky Hambleton-Jones, drivers need to make sure they look good behind before taking their new purchase out on the road.

"You wouldn't dream of buying a dress or suit without trying it on first, so why should it be any different when it comes to buying a car?," said the fashion aficionado.

Nicky Hambleton-Jones runs her own style consultancy, Tramp2Vamp, while also presenting 10 Years Younger of Channel 4.

The programme sees a team of stylists led by Hambleton-Jones attempt to make members of the public look younger with a series of style changes.ADNFCR-1081-ID-18552784-ADNFCR
