Land Rover picks up practicality award

Mon, 15 Oct 2007
An assessment from an automobile magazine has seen the Land Rover Discovery 3 named the most practical 4x4 on the market.

Planet 4x4 has commented that the model picked up 93 points out of the 100 on offer, finishing ahead of its contemporaries in the genre.

Those looking to drive the seven-seater Discovery 3 can pick one up for £29,815 at Land Rover dealerships nationwide.

John Edwards, managing director of the firm in the UK, commented that the gong was "a great achievement".

"[It] has proved time and time again it is three cars in one. It has now won nearly 100 awards since launch in 2004, making it one of the most decorated SUVs ever," the official added.

Meanwhile, Ford is expecting to announce the sale of the automaker within the next two months.

However, the firm believes that any deal will come alongside the purchase of its sister firm Jaguar.ADNFCR-1081-ID-18316835-ADNFCR
