Land Rover confident of September sales slew

Tue, 25 Sep 2007
September is expected to be a record month in terms of Land Rover sales by confident executives at the firm.

The Freelander 2 is currently the company's hottest product, enjoying popularity perhaps due to its fuel efficiency and reduced CO2 emissions.

Following close behind is the Range Rover, which the manufacturer has stated is enjoying a new lease of life now that a V8 diesel engine has been added to it.

John Edwards, managing director for Land Rover in the UK, commented that he expects to see the firm smash its September sales record of 9,328 set in 2005.

He said: "We have a great model line up and dealers are seeing strong demand for the new registration plate - they're confident of breaking previous records."

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Prince Charles has recently discovered a Land Rover in Aberdeenshire which belonged to his grandfather George VI.ADNFCR-1081-ID-18293219-ADNFCR
