How successful is cleaning an EGR valve, is it worth doing????

Do mean yes that it is worth cleaning an egr valve peugot dealer wants to charge me 300 for a new one

Yes clean it and all the pipes around it as well.What size engine and what year is it as there is a model with a almost sealed EGR with these you need to remove from the engine and really spend some time with knitting needles.

If its like this then they are doddle to clean
