VW passat 2.00tdi R Line 140 - Cambelt change

VW passat 2.00tdi R Line 140 - Cambelt change - GWILSO
Hi all I'm Gordon, new to this site and trading in my current Lexus IS200 for something more economical and family friendly due to a new arrival :)

I'm due to pick up my new used Passat 2.0 TDI R Line 140 on a 59 plate on Monday from my local friendly car supermarket. The car has done 64k I queried when Cambelt change was due and I was told 120k


I've researched everywhere on line and can't find any info for this model but the general feeling is 60-80k

Can anyone confirm 120k or am I being spun a line?

Any advise appreciated

According to Autodata, your belt change interval is 80k or four years.

You should ask for it to be changed along with all ancillary equipment before you collect it.
