Peugeot 307 sw 2.0 90 hdi 2054 - power loss - matt 64

85000 hi all we have above car .we have power loss until turbo cuts in and is ok.

there also seems to be high crankcase pressure as pushing dip stick out,oil every where

has been on diagnostics and no fault codes ,we are going to check vacumn pipes to egr and turbo at weekend as lenghty job to get acess but if that is problem would it account for the oil issue any ideas out there matt

The 2.0. 8 valve engine is normally very long lived if it has regular oil changes but either yours is suffering from piston blow by or the crank case ventilation is obstructed, I hope its the latter.

If it starts well that would indicate that the compression is good, these engines are generally good for several hundred thousand miles - hopefully yours is not the exception.

hi thanks for your message i have been fiddling today idont know what the oil problem is but seems to be ok at moment.

The power loss problem is not related i disconnected MAF sensor and vacumn pipe to EGR and full power resumed .There is a solnoid valve that supplys vacumn to EGR,i believe this is stuck open or closed.Connected MAF back and still ok

So i will blank vacumn supply off for now thanks again matt
