Hi, I will be buying 2012 Grand Scenic soon which has keyless entry and start. I am trying to find the answer to this question, hope someone can help..
When you approach the car with the key card in your pocket/bag etc the door will unlock when you hold one of the handles. It will also start without having to put the card in the reader slot in front of the gearstick (that much I know!)
Sometimes we put our two young kids in the car when loading up to leave (it is on the drive close to the house) That way we know where they are and can lock up properly etc.
My concern is that it would be possible for someone to jump in, start the car and drive off! This could happen whether the kids are in or not! Is there a way round this or is this a fatal flaw for keyless entry systems?
Any help from clued up Renualt people / owners etc would be much appreciated.
Cheers, Dave
