Volvo V50 reg 08 - Anti-skid service warning

Volvo V50 reg 08 - Anti-skid service warning - Sarnia

The local Volvo dealer wants £200 to identify a problem relating to the anti-skid warning, my local registered techniical expert has done this for £30 and said it was a small pump in the ABS system. The local expert seemed to have the necessary equipment thoough the dealer said that their equipment was exclusive to them. Anyone have experience of this situation?

Indeed - bearing in mind your other post, this dealer could be trying it on. If possible get a seond opinion from another dealer or an independent.

I had this message, don't know if it will be the same error code, but I just changed the brake fluid (DOT 5.1) and the car corted it'self out.

If you can do this yourself or get a cheap quote it might be an option.

Jave you tried volvo owners club forum, it's quite useful too.
