hi there i have a 1.4mpi engine on my skoda fabia but i want change it to 1.4 16v engine .

can i do it witouth changing gearbox and evriting else??

Check with insurance company first, long term it may be cheaper to replace car.

i think for insurance company it can stay as a 1.4mpi. but does the 1.4mpi gearbox pass to 1.4 16v engine?

If you change the engine to a different type this will be classed as a modification and the insurance company will need to be notified. If you do not, in the event of an accident you will not be covered.

There are far too many posts on here from people who have not been insured (intended or not), do not increase the number.
