Peugeot 306 1.9d '96 - Rad Fan Not Playing Ball - Nikko
Hi, I'm pulling my hair out here and could really do with some advice.

I have a Peugeot 306 1.9 with a single radiator fan. The car is overheating when stationary because the fan will not kick in. Now, the temp. sensor is working fine because it displays the temperature on the dash and when I unplug it, the dial goes dead. Also, when I make the terminals touch at the fan switch (I think that's what it's called. It's on the right hand side of the rad as you look at it from the front of the car), the fan works and spins nice and fast.

The problem is it will not work when the temp get high enough.

The 'fan switch' is a bit corroded, so I could probably do with a new one. It's the female connector that is corroded. Where could I get a new one. That's only issue I think. Would that be a cause of the fan not working when it gets hot enough?

I really appreciate your help with this.
