Volkswagen Polo IV 2003 - Clutch Problem - merlin34

My daughter purchased a VW Polo from a second hand dealer with the garage's 3 month warranty. She has had several minor problems which the garage to it's credit have addressed. However, it has caused her and me to be suspicious about what might else go wrong now the warranty has finished. She is still within the 6 month sale of goods act period and another problem has occurred with the clutch. Sometime she is unable to get the car into gear, ot the clutch just drops to the floor. It is intermittent and she has had the clutch fluid removed, by another garage, to rid it of air but it appears to be happening again. Could there be small holes in the clutch pipe allowing air to get back in to the system or could the slave cylinder be at fault causing the clutch pedal to suddenly drop. She has only been driving for a month so is rather concerned to say the least. Any ideas?

On the slave cylinder it has a plunger at the end with a rubber dust cover open this if it's wet with fluid inside it that's ya problem replace slave cylinder other than that check for wetness around master cylinder and clutch pipes go from there.
